ohh well to add friends just visit the page of your soon-to-be friend and there will be a button right under their bio on the top of the page saying "+devwatch". That is the friend adder mechanism thingy you need. Once that is finished, every time a friend of yours submits a deviation, scrap, note, journal, poll, or anything really, you will be notified about it.

my fifth grade art teacher told us that some of the best art we're going make are going to be in the margins of our notebooks and textbooks...and i believed him. so i drew him on my math notebook. haha! but seriously i believe him. so i count all my sketches (the good and the bad) as finished work. i'm self-taught, self-studying by attempting and failing, and this is my learning curve on display.
